CMU Insights at Linecheck in Milan, Italy
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 19 November 2021
The Linecheck music conference and showcase festival takes place in Milan next week. Alongside an in-person conference and festival in Milan itself, people can also access content online, plus there are additional livestreamed showcases in London, Berlin, Paris, Hamburg and Haldern.
CMU’s Chris Cooke will host two sessions as part of the Wednesday programme.
At 10am he will lead a conversation called ‘Servicing The Artist? Content Creation And Remuneration 2022 Onwards’. How can we ensure the ongoing digital revolution is beneficial to creatives? And that intellectual property is protected and rights are respected?
Joining the conversation will be Roberto Neri from Utopia Music, Sascha Lazimbat from Zebralution Group and MusicHub, and Jake Beaumont-Nesbitt from the International Music Managers Forum.
Later in the day – at 3.45pm – Chris will also be in conversation with Matteo Fedeli, who is director of the music division at Italian collecting society SIAE.
Linecheck runs from 23-25 Nov. Elsewhere in the conference programme, there will be sessions on streaming economics, AI, NFTs, ticketing, sync, diversity and mental health. Check out the full programme here.
