The latest round of CMU Insights evening seminars kicked off earlier this week putting the spotlight on all things music copyright. There are two more music rights seminars to come.

‘How Music Licensing Works’ on 11 Feb provides a summary of how copyright makes money, explains the ins and outs of music licensing and deal making, outlines when and why collective licensing applies, and runs through the pros and cons of the collective approach.

‘The Music Rights Sector’ on 18 Feb looks at all the key music copyright revenue streams in 2019. That includes an overview of the dominant digital platforms and how they pay money into the music industry. Plus a quick guide to the physical music market, the sync market and public performance licensing.

They both take place at the London HQ of Lewis Silkin. Tickets for each session are just £49.99 including VAT and booking fees. Click here for more information or to book.
