CMU Library: Economics Of Streaming Inquiry Timeline
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 1 October 2021
The UK government’s response last week to Parliament’s big old Economics Of Music Streaming report basically opened a new chapter in the ongoing debate about how the steaming business works, rather than bringing any story to a conclusion.
Nevertheless, this is still a good moment to recap everything that has gone on over the last year or so since Parliament’s Digital, Culture, Media & Sport Select Committee announced its inquiry into music streams.
And CMU has a timeline to help you with that, bringing together all our coverage of the inquiry and the submissions made to it by the music industry, as well as curating a number of other useful resources from the CMU Library. Check out the timeline here.
Plus, this week’s Setlist podcast talks through the government response – and you can access that here.
