CMU Library: The Streaming Business
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 1 July 2020
CMU exists to help you navigate and understand the music business. And to help with that process we have the CMU Library, which allows you to access guides, reports, slides and podcasts from the CMU archives by music industry topic.
The Streaming Business section of the Library includes CMU Trends guides on the digital market, digital licensing and the big safe harbour and value gap debate. There’s also a number of Setlist specials on the history of the wider digital music business, plus the recent two-part special ‘The Ten Things People Get Wrong About Streaming’.
You will also find a number of reports and guides from CMU Insights – including the ‘Distribution Revolution’ report for AIM on the digital distribution sector, and ‘Digital Dollar’ guides for MMF on song royalties and digital transparency. You can also download slides from various CMU speed briefings on those topics that have been presented at past music conferences and industry events.
You can check out the Streaming Business section of the CMU Library here. To get full access to all the guides in the CMU Library you need to become a premium subscriber, which you can still do for just £5 a month here.
