• Drake’s impromptu album release last week has scored the highest number of streams for a long player in its debut week on Spotify in the US, which would almost fit on a t-shirt. He broke the record previously set in 2013 by some bloke called Drake. Tracks from new LP ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ were streamed 17.3 million times in three days. And exclusive CMU analysis can now reveal that that means quite a lot of people heard it.

• Rapper Fashawn has released a single from his new album ‘The Ecology’, which is out on 23 Mar. You can listen to ‘Out The Trunk’, which features Busta Rhymes, here.

• The next Iggy Azalea single is out on 20 Apr. ‘Trouble’, it’s called. And it features Jennifer Hudson. Familiarise yourself with its lyrics with the lyric video here.

• The next release on the Song, By Toad label will be the debut album from Digitalanalogue on 6 Mar. Titled ‘Be Embraced, You Millions!’ the record is the work of Broken Records’ Ian Turnbull. Listen to ‘Café Royal’ here.

• Kelela will release her CMU approved ‘mixtape’ (ie album) in ‘deluxe’ (ie physical) form on 23 Mar. You’ll be able to get it on vinyl and CD with a load of remixes tacked. And you should.

• Yes, well, Metz have now seen fit to share a song from their new album. And here it is.

• If, say, you wanted to hear the debut single from Elle Exxe, you could totally click on this link here. And if you wanted to see her live, you could go to 229 on 26 Feb. So I heard, anyway.
