Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Hookworms are going to release an expanded edition of their debut EP on 4 Mar. From it, here’s ‘Teen Dreams’.

• Frøkedal’s debut album ‘Hold On Dreamer’ is still on track to be released on 26 Feb, I’m sure you’ll be pleased to learn. Here’s another track from it, ‘The Sign’. She’ll also be playing a few UK shows around the release.

• Heck (the band formerly known as Baby Godzilla) will release their debut album, ‘Instructions’, on 11 Mar. This from it is ‘Good As Dead’.

• Laura Mvula has released a new single, titled ‘Overcome’, which features that Nile Rodgers on it. You can have a little listen here.

• Moderat will release new album ‘III’, on 1 Apr. They’ll also be heading out on a short tour of the UK the same month, starting at St John At Hackney in London on 2 Apr.

• Bullion has released new single, ‘Never Is The Change’ from his debut album ‘Loop The Loop’, which is out on 26 Feb. You can catch him live at Oslo in Hackney on 30 Jan, 27 Feb, and 26 Mar. So you really have no excuse not to see him perform.

• Adele, Justin Bieber and Coldplay have already been announced as performers at next month’s BRIT Awards. Could today’s newly announced performers top that? Well, they are The Weeknd, Jess Glynne, Little Mix and James Bay. So no.

• Latvian band Carnival Youth have won the Public Choice Award at the European Border Breakers Awards, picking up their trophy at last night’s ceremony at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival. It was also joyful.
