Artist News One Liners Releases
CMU’s One Liners: Calvin Harris, McBusted, AlunaGeorge and more
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 8 October 2014
Other notable announcements and developments today…
• So Calvin Harris (pictured) is releasing his new album, ‘Motion’, on 24 Nov. It features guest appearances from Ellie Goulding, Gwen Stefani, Haim, Tinashe, Big Sean, Hurts, John Newman, Firebeatz and R3hab.
• McBusted have announced that they will release their debut single on 23 Nov. It’s called ‘Air Guitar’, though presumably it will feature actual guitars on it. They’re also going to be screening a documentary about their tour, called ‘Tourplay’, later this month. Watch the lyric video for ‘Air Guitar’ here.
• Cheryl wossname has released yet another track from her new album, in her continued bid to convince us that she can hold together a disparate collection of tracks with a discernable and consistent voice. Once again she fails. It’s a better song than that last one though. Here it is, it’s called ‘Only Human’.
• AlunaGeorge are back with a new track called ‘Supernatural’. It’s good stuff, and comes from their still-in-the-works second album. Aluna will appear minus George at upcoming US and Australian shows, while he continues to kick the record into shape.
• A year on from her third album, ‘Wish Bone’, Oh Land is back with the follow-up, ‘Earth Sick’. Well, she will be on 11 Nov. Until then, there’s her new single, ‘Head Up High’, which you can listen to here.
• Rapper Lizzo and singer Caroline Smith recently recorded a single together (‘Let Em Say’ – here’s the video). Now they’re back at it again, and this time with added Grimes. Well, that’s the assumption I have made based on this Instagram post anyway.
