CMU’s One Liners: Instagram bans #EDM, Saul Williams makes announcement, Björk cancels tour dates, and more

Other notable announcements and developments today..
• Instagram has banned the #EDM hashtag because it “was being used to share content that violates our guidelines around nudity”.
• Saul Williams has released the second in a series of videos to promote upcoming new album, ‘MartyrLoserKing’. Watch ‘The Announcement’ here.
• The National’s Matt Berninger and Menomena’s Brent Knopf will release an album together under the name El Vy, called ‘Return To The Moon’, on 30 Oct. Here’s the title track.
• You can watch Battles performing four songs from their new album ‘La Di Da Di’ on their website until 4pm today (UK time).
• Brighton band Kovak will release their new album, ‘Modern Lovers’, on 7 Sep. Here’s the video for ‘Swing Song’.
• Björk has cancelled a number of upcoming tour dates, including the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris and Iceland Airwaves, “due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control”.
