• Clare Dickins has announced that she is leaving music PR firm Rebel Butterfly to set up her own company, Clare Dickins PR.

• Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have teamed up with Ed Sheeran for a new song called ‘Growing Up’. You can listen here or download it for free from Macklemore’s website. It is dogshit.

• King Midas Sound have announced the first in a series of four collaborative albums, titled ‘Edition 1’, which sees them team up with Austrian musician Fennesz. It will be released on 18 Sep through Ninja Tune. They will also be performing the collaboration live at St John At Hackney church on 30 Oct. Listen to ‘Waves’ from the album here.

• Reverend And The Makers will release their fifth album, ‘Mirrors’, on 9 Oct. From it, this is Black Widow.

• The four surviving members of The Grateful Dead may have just performed some lucrative farewell shows, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to stop playing those songs. Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzman have formed a new band, Dead & Company, with John Mayer on guitar. Bassist Phil Lesh will not join them, concentrating on his other project, Phil & Friends, instead.
