Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Ryn Weaver will release her debut album, ‘The Fool’, on 7 Aug. She’ll also play a UK show at Notting Hill Arts Club on 3 Jun. Here’s the album’s title track.

• Mumford & Sons have slung out a new track called ‘The Wolf’. Here it is.

After two years, The National have decided that, yes, they will release their collaboration with Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson, ‘A Lot Of Sorrow’. The performance at MoMA in New York in 2013 saw the band play their song ‘Sorrow’ over and over and over again for six hours straight. 1500 copies of a boxset which sees the entire performance stretched over nine LPs will be made available. Profits will go to the Partners In Health charity. Pre-order here.

• Jenny Hval has released another new song from her upcoming new album, ‘Apocalypse, Girl’. Titled ‘Sabbath’, you can listen to it here.

• Rolo Tomassi have signed a deal with Mike Patton’s Ipecac Records to release their new album in the US.

• Sam Urbani, one time frontwoman of Friends, has released her first solo track, ‘1 2 3 4’.
