Pandora

Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Having streamed the second series of its sister show ‘Serial’, Pandora has now done a deal to exclusively offer US podcast ‘This American Life’.

• The full cast list for the new series of ‘Twin Peaks’ is out, and it features Trent Reznor, his wife Mariqueen Reznor and Nine Inch Nails bandmate Robin Finck, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Sky Ferreira, Sharon Van Etten, all three members of Au Revoir Simone, Ruth Radelet from Chromatics and The Veils’ Finn Andrews.

• Stormzy has shared the video for new track ‘Scary’, which will apparently not featuring on his upcoming debut album. Answering questions about that album though, the video opens with the words “The album is coming. When? Look behind you”. Not sure that did answer any questions actually.

• Alesso wants to know something. He would like you know if you want to watch his new video. I assume so, anyway. I’m only really saying all this as a lead into his new single being called ‘I Wanna Know’. It’s got Nico & Vinz on it.

• Megadeth have released a 360° live video for ‘Poisonous Shadows’ from their latest album ‘Dystopia’, allowing you to swing around checking out different bits of the stage.

• The rumours are true. Gold Panda has released another track from his forthcoming album. This is it, it is called ‘Pink & Green’.

• Hanni El Khatib has premiered a new track, ‘Gonna Die Alone’.

• Nite Jewel has released another track from her upcoming new album, ‘Liquid Cool’. Here’s ‘Kiss The Screen’.

• Tegan & Sara will headline Koko on 22 Jun. I was thinking I’d seen them there once before, but it was actually Brixton Academy. Do let me know if you want more anecdotes.

• Band Of Horses will release a new album called ‘Why Are You OK?’ at some point in June. Here’s first single ‘Casual Party’. They’ll also play two London shows on 5-6 Jul at Shepherds Bush Empire.
