• Following on from their album with Scott Walker, Sunn o))) will release a record all of their own called ‘Kannon’ on 4 Dec.

• The recently approved So Below – who we now know is LA-based musician Maddie North – has released a new track called ‘Sleep’. It’s very good. And it’s taken from her debut EP, also called ‘Sleep’.

• New Zealand indie legends The Chills have a new single out, called ‘Warm Waveform’. New album ‘Silver Bullets’ is out on 30 Oct.

• First Lush announced a reunion, now fucking Kula Shaker are at it. They’re also going to be playing the Roundhouse next year. On 17 Feb to be exact. There are some other tour dates too.

• Speaking of Lush, they’ve added a second Roundhouse date on 7 May next year after the first one sold out. I do not understand this world anymore.

• Songhoy Blues are also going to be playing the Roundhouse next May, 21 May to be precise, which is more like it. Here’s their version of the Clash’s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go?’

• The nominations are out for this year’s UK Music Video Awards 2015 which take place on 5 Nov at The Roundhouse in London, preceded by a special Beatles-themed edition of Adam Buxton’s BUG event on 3 Nov and the MusicVidFest conference on 4 Nov, both at BFI Southbank. Check the shortlists here.
