Demon Music Group launches vinyl-only label

Demon Music Group has announced a new company, Demon Records, a vinyl-only catalogue label that will kick off by launching a number of special releases for this year’s Record Store Day.

Demon’s Ben Stanley told CMU: “As a company of record lovers, it’s hugely encouraging for Demon Music Group to see the resurgence of vinyl. Anything we can do to contribute to this rise will be hugely satisfying. We have some brilliant releases lined up across a variety of genres, and are very excited about the future”.

The Record Store Day releases will feature music from The Jesus and Mary Chain, Suede, Dinosaur L, Marc Bolan, Heaven N Hell, Ashley Beedle, Ian McCulloch, Men Without Hats and Chas & Dave.

Vinyl re-issues will then follow of albums by Alexander O’Neal, Cherrelle, The SOS Band, Average White Band, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, T Rex, The Beat, Sugar, Leo Sayer and Saxon amongst others.
