Drums to continue as a trio
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 23 September 2010
The Drums have announced that they will continue as a trio, following the departure of guitarist Adam Kessler, who quit the group last week. They also denied reports that a temporary replacement had already been hired to complete their current tour dates.
In a statement, the band said: “The Drums (Jonny [Pierce, vocals], Jacob [Graham, guitar] and Connor [Hanwick, drums]) will continue as a three member band, and though we are distressed by recent events we are excited for the future. Despite recent reports, we haven’t replaced anyone. We have started work on the new album and are all thrilled to be embarking on our first US tour this month and returning to the UK in November to play concerts. We thank you all for your support and will see you soon”.
The band’s next single, ‘Me And The Moon’, is due for release on 7 Nov, followed by the aforementioned UK tour dates later the same month, which will begin with two nights at The Forum in London.
