Ella Henderson signs to Sony/ATV

Pop singer and child-of-‘The-X-Factor-2012’ Ella Henderson, has signed an international publishing deal with Sony/ATV, this off the back of her mega-hit first single ‘Ghost’. Her new track, ‘Glow’, is released on 5 Oct, with an LP titled ‘Chapter One’ following a week later.
Appraising the deal and her career in general, Henderson, who co-wrote ‘Chapter One’ with a team of high-charting hitmakers like Ryan Tedder, Salaam Remi and Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, says: “When I auditioned for ‘The X-Factor’ it was because I could sing an original song and I hoped it might get me a foot in the door. I’m so happy to have been given the freedom and creative control to write my debut album, working alongside other writers and producers I have looked up to and admire. To be able to call this my job is a dream come true!”
Agreeing, Sony/ATV’s UK A&R Manager Jacqueline O’Leary adds: “Ella is one of the most successful artist breakthroughs of the year and she is quickly showing everyone that not only is she an incredible vocalist, but a gifted songwriter, too. We are thrilled at Sony/ATV to be part of this exciting new journey for her”.
