FAC announces new drop-in night for young artists
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 20 January 2015
The Featured Artists Coalition has announced that it will host the first of a series of monthly informal drop-in sessions for young artists in London next week. Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien will host the first edition.
Taking place at The Water Rats venue (which was only temporarily a furniture shop last year) during Independent Venue Week, it’s an artists-only session, and artists interested in attending should email info@thefac.org. A ballot will then take place to distribute places to the intimate gathering.
Says O’Brien: “I want to hear what it’s like to be a young artist navigating his or her way through the music industry in 2015. In this way and through our experience in the business, hopefully, we can find a way to better support our sisters and brothers”.
