Fela Kuti film and soundtrack album coming next month

A new documentary about Fela Kuti and accompanying soundtrack album are due to be released next month.

‘Finding Fela’ will hit cinemas on 5 Sep, following a two-disc compilation of his music earlier the same week. Directed by Alex Gibney, the film follows stage show ‘Fela!’ as it becomes the first Broadway production to transfer to Nigeria. It then uses that as a springboard to delve further into the life and music of the musician himself.
