BEARDED THEORY, Kedleston Hall Park, Derbyshire, 18-20 May: ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ hitmakers Wheatus take this year’s special guest slot, one occupied in previous years by The Cheeky Girls and Wagner off of ‘X-Factor’. HONEYFEST, secret location, Wiltshire, 14 Apr: Clasping tightly to its title as the year’s very first outdoor festival, Honeyfest scored a further bookings coup as Damon Albarn is confirmed to play a set comprising songs from his self-penned musical Dr Dee. NO DIRECTION HOME, Welbeck, Worksop, North Nottinghamshire, 8-10 Jun: Headliner-to-be Richard Hawley fronts fresh announcements at the first ever edition of music-come-comedy event No Direction Home, with Austra, Cold Specks, Other Lives and Wet Nuns joining existing co-headliners The Low Anthem, Dirty Three and Andrew Bird.
