Festival line-up update: ATP, Beach Break Live, Boomtown Fair and more

Taking alphabetical precedence in today’s FLUU is, or rather are, ATP’s Deerhunter and TV On The Radio-designed spring/summer events. Deerhunter’s one will now feature Robyn Hitchcock, Black Dice and a duet by Steve Reich and the London Sinfonietta orchestra, whilst TV ON The Radio’s adds Death Grips, Antibalas and Why?

But hey, ATP isn’t the only festival with artist additions to reveal, what of the seemingly revamped (slightly) Newquay pop interval Beach Break Live? Well, since you asked, I’ll answer that BBL’s foamy first wave of acts is crested by Jake Bugg, AlunaGeorge, High Contrast, Lucy Rose and MC Devlin, so that’s nice.

And with that mini intro, it’s time to dive into today’s FLUU pool, whose main swimmers – aka featured fests – are (in addition to the above trio) the always-acquisitive Boomtown Fair, northern rock one-dayer Crooked Ways, London’s ultra-alternative Denovali Swingfest, the Newnham-based Farr Festival, Bulgaria’s green, pleasant and altitudinous Meadows In The Mountains, and Live From Jodrell Bank, as has added Poliça, Daughter and Nik Colk Void to its Sigur Rós-starring later-in-the-year sixth ‘transmission’ on 30 Aug:
