Festival line-up update: WOMAD, Strøm, Tauron Nowa Muzyka and more
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 5 July 2013
As this year’s Camp Bestival reveals its daily splits (and makes available limited day tickets), what say we start today’s FLUU with an update on, erm, I know, WOMAD? Yeah, let’s.
And WOMAD HQ tell us that Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Max Romeo have replaced Toots & The Maytals on their bill, the band having cancelled their appearance after Toots was hit on the head by a fan-thrown bottle.
WOMAD MD Chris Smith celebrates these additions by saying: “We are delighted to be able to host two of the greatest reggae legends, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Max Romeo within this already exciting and unique line-up. I am positive they will be a highlight of the festival and the WOMAD audience will have them on their must-see list”.
And now the main body of today’s FLUU, the listings, which arrive via Skegness dance-fest The Big Reunion (not to be mistaken for ITV’s pop-band reanimator); Lamb Of God/King Diamond/Slayer-starring rock rager Bloodstock; Somerset’s Farmfestival; Copenhagen-based electronica fete Strøm; Poland’s primary live date Tauron Nowa Muzyka; and, as above, WOMAD:
