Fetty Wap may not be able to sustain his sound in an interesting way across an entire album, but he can sustain a publishing deal across the entire planet, let me tell you. By which I mean he has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV.

Sony/ATV CEO Marty Bandier said: “It is always refreshing when a new artist comes on the scene with a bunch of hits like Fetty Wap has, so we are thrilled that he has now decided to become part of the Sony/ATV family. With a talent like his, there is no doubt he is both the man for today as well as tomorrow”.

Because you can never have enough quotes from people from the same company, Sony/ATV’s Shawn Holiday added: “Fetty Wap is the hottest breakout artist of 2015 and I’m so happy to have him join our already talented roster of songwriters. Even though he has already had back-to-back top ten hits, the thing that really excites me about him is he hasn’t even scratched the surface of his full potential as a songwriter and the best is yet to come”.

The deal was secured in partnership with 45th & 3rd Music Publishing, whose co-founder Tim Blacksmith added: “We are extremely excited and over the moon that Fetty is joining the family and we look forward to working with him and all the team at RGF”.

RGF? Yeah, that’s Fetty Wap’s company, the co-founders of which, Frank ‘Nitt Da Grit’ Robinson and Danny Su Griffin, said: “Sony/ATV is legendary. We’re grateful to be a part of an organisation that stands for artists”.

And if you thought that was it for the quotes about this deal, then you’re forgetting Fetty Wap’s attorney Navarro W Gray, who chipped in: “The Sony/ATV partnership will create great opportunities for Fetty Wap’s music to be branded through other mediums”.

And I think you’ll agree that was worth saying. Fetty Wap himself didn’t say anything, but I’m going to assume he was “thrilled”.
