Fierce Panda

Hey, English indie Fierce Panda will have been in the label game 20 years this year, having begun in a London pub in 2004, and gone on to release early material by The Macabees, Idlewild, Placebo, Ash, Keane and, of course, Coldplay. And in ‘celebration’, kind of, the label has placed its ‘weepiest’ ever singles on one definitive LP, apparently the “saddest album in the world”.

‘Endangered: Fierce Panda 2004-2014’, as it’s titled, will carry eighteen FP-released tracks in all, from past and present signees like The Walkmen, Art Brut, The Raveonettes, The Crookes, Tom Hickox and I Like Trains. It’ll be available as its own individual thing on 7 Apr, and as of today will also be given away as a goodwill gift with every music purchase made via www.fiercepanda.co.uk
