Flavor Flav arrested on his way to mother’s funeral
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 10 January 2014
Public Enemy man Flavor Flav was arrested on Long Island yesterday for driving on a suspended license, but was released pretty quickly because he was in New York State to attend the funeral of his mother, who died on 31 Dec.
According to New York State Police, Flav was pulled over for driving 24 miles an hour over the speed limit, after which officers discovered the hip hopper had sixteen suspensions on his licence and was in possession of a “small amount” of marijuana.
Although originally harking from Long Island, Flav now lives in Las Vegas, but will have to return to his home region to face the traffic violation charges in court at a later date.
