Hard rock twosome Jim Caroll and Frank Carter have taken Pure Love, the band they began in 2011, and “placed it into the phantom zone”. Which is really an original (and spooky) way of saying they’re going on ‘indefinite hiatus’. They will, at least, place the hiatus on, um, hiatus, until they’ve played a final lot of “brilliant shows” in the UK, which are still TBA.

Shouts to Rock Sound for compiling Jim n Frank’s announcement, which came via Twitter last Friday, and ran as follows: “After what can only be described as a ‘hard year’, Jim and I have decided to hit the brakes and place Pure Love into the phantom zone. It’s not an easy decision, and we both hate the term ‘indefinite hiatus’ but that’s exactly where we are at. We will be playing our only shows this year in the UK where you have all been so great to us. We look forward to seeing you all there”.
