Fred Perry and Parlophone team up for Record Store Day
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 14 April 2011
EMI’s Parlophone Records are teaming up with the Fred Perry brand’s music programme Subculture to stage a little party down there in Ladbroke Grove this Saturday as part of the Record Store Day festivities.
Anyone who buys one of the limited edition vinyl releases put out by Parlophone or imprint Regal for RSD at the West London branch of Rough Trade will get a wristband to get them into the little club around the corner. It’s not 100% clear to me what will be going on there, but fun times will abound I am sure.
And look, here’s Stuart Russell of Fred Perry Subculture saying words: “Fred Perry has long adorned some of the music industry’s leading pioneers. Subculture prides itself on being at the forefront of new music both in the UK and internationally. So, it comes as no surprise, that to celebrate Record Store Day, Subculture is joining with Britain’s foremost record label Parlophone, to celebrate new releases from the worlds most renowned artists”.
