FUGA announces Domino deal
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 8 December 2015
Digital distribution and services firm FUGA has announced a new deal with Domino which will see the former handle the global digital delivery of the latter’s music, both catalogue and new releases.
The fact that FUGA makes it simple to deliver multiple encodings of each track makes them “the natural choice for Domino”, says the official announcement of the new deal. “With a growing proportion of Domino’s catalogue now offered as high definition audio and an increasing number of services such as Tidal, Deezer Elite and Pono now offering 16-bit and 24-bit streams and downloads to create a point of difference, the ability to efficiently deliver multiple resolutions is crucial” it adds.
Confirming the tie-up, Jason Reed, Head Of Digital at Domino, told reporters: “We’re happy to have partnered with FUGA as our digital integrations solution. Their platform provides an intuitive, efficient and flexible solution for us in managing our digital releases and deliveries across our retail and streaming partners”.
And FUGA boss Pieter Van Rijn added: “We’re pleased that Domino chose us as their digital distribution partner, as our pioneering tech for easy distribution of multiple encodings is something we’re all proud of at FUGA. We are of course very excited to be working with the Domino team and the consistently great music they put out”.
