Geoff Taylor and Nick Gatfield added to Music Futures line up
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 16 October 2015
BPI boss man Geoff Taylor and former Sony Music UK chief Nick Gatfield have both been added to the line up for the Music Futures conference being staged by Generator in Gateshead next month.
Taylor will provide a keynote considering the future of the music biz, and how tech continues to influence patterns in music consumption and distribution.
He says of the speech: “The music industry is constantly adapting its business models to take advantage of new technology and to offer consumers new ways to engage with music. This makes forward-looking conferences such as Music Futures vital to help us anticipate future trends and understand their implications for the whole music ecosystem”.
Gatfield, now leading music start-up Twin Music, will take part in a one-on-one interview before joining a panel on whether or not A&R types spend too much time looking at data in 2015.
