Rounding up the latest gig news…

Sup, Mahomies? Moms’ favourite pop boy Austin Mahone is going to play a show in the UK, his first UK show, at London’s IndigO2. It’s on 23 Jun, and tickets will go on sale on 26 Apr.

Austin, who’ll let slip ‘The Secret’, his first ever LP, on 26 May, wants you all to know this: “I’m coming to see you, UK Mahomies! Can’t wait to give you new music and play a show for you all. I loved seeing you all last year when I came to visit – but now it’s time for a big show – and I really hope to share the moment with you all”.

Onwards, and this is more a tour-based prompt than anything, but another thing you should know is that Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, aka producer Dan Le Sac and MC Scroobius Pip, are starting a UK tour today. Encompassing eleven shows, it moves off tonight following a stop at Wolverhampton’s Slade Rooms, on to Preston’s 53 Degrees tomorrow. The whole thing wraps on 3 May at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham. Perhaps FatCat’s beardiest signees, Scottish rock trio Paws (pictured), are to play a rolling raft of live shows as props to their forthcoming second LP, ‘Youth Culture Forever’, which is released on 2 Jun. Of the live dates, the first is an appearance at Leeds’ Gold Sounds Festival on 26 May, with the band hitting York’s Basement on 29 May to start the tour, which goes on throughout June, for real.
