Gruff Rhys soundtracks whale app

We’ve long suspected that Gruff Rhys likes Wales; not only his country of origin, but also the sea-dwelling mammalian creatures. By which I mean whales. As if to prove it, the Super Furry Animals frontman is releasing his latest solo single, ‘Whale Trail’, with a whale-themed iPhone/iPad game of the same name.
Rhys himself will narrate the game in Welsh, following the whimsical adventures of Willow The Whale as he collects ‘Blubbles’ to nourish his multi-coloured vapour trail. If by any chance that doesn’t make sense, the ‘Whale Trail’ preview below might just help.
