Heavenly and Bucks sign Jane Weaver
By Chris Cooke | Published on Monday 12 October 2015
Independent music publishers Heavenly Songs and Bucks Music Group last week announced that they had signed singer songwriter Jane Weaver following the release last year of her seventh studio album ‘The Silver Globe’. The publishing deal covers that LP and its accompanying record ‘The Amber Light’, plus several key songs from Weaver’s back catalogue.
Confirming the deal, Heavenly Songs’ MD Martin Kelly told reporters: “I’ve been a long standing fan of Jane’s music since she worked with Doves many many moons ago and I’m made up to be working with her. ‘The Silver Globe’ album has been one of my favourite records from the last year and really shows Jane hitting her stride”.
Meanwhile Bucks’ A&R Director Sarah Liversedge Platz added: “We have seen Jane perform some fantastic festivals this year, most notably Glastonbury Festival and Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall. Her performance is distinctive and her songwriting markedly inspiring – we are excited to be working with her and Martin at Heavenly Songs once again”.
