HTC invests $300 million in Beats By Dre

Mobile phone manufacturer HTC has reportedly invested $300 million in Dr Dre’s headphones brand, Beats By Dre. The two companies will launch a line of mobile devices with integrated Beats technology later this year. Which is nice. Though I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone say anything positive about Dre’s headphones.
In a statement, Interscope/Geffen chairman and Beats By Dre co-founder Jimmy Iovine said: “The marriage of these two companies is very, very good. We are very good for each other. With HTC’s innovation, technology and leadership, we feel we can really compete with anybody in this area”.
