Icona Pop sign to Warner, start work on debut album

Swedish electro-pop duo Icona Pop have signed with Warner/Atlantic subsidiary Big Beat in the US and have begun work on their debut album, presumably for release some time next year. The pair also revealed in a new interview with Rolling Stone that they are planning to move to New York to continue work on the album.
Apparently in unison, they said: “We are so excited [about moving to New York]. We just signed to Atlantic/Big Beat and we feel like now is the right time for us to be here. We’ve been in New York a lot the past year and we feel very home here … We have just started, but it’s gonna be a hell of a lot more galloping drums and twisted synthesizers!”
