If asked, Louis Tomlinson might become an X-Factor judge
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 18 November 2015
Louis Tomlinson would “probably” and “maybe” become an ‘X-Factor’ judge, if asked. Not quite the insight of Zayn Malik’s Fader interview, but you can’t have everything.
The One Direction singer was rumoured for the job earlier this year, but it didn’t happen on account of him being in the world’s most successful pop group and therefore quite busy.
With all that soon to be over though, he told James Corden in an interview for Apple Music: “Yeah, I probably would [be an ‘X-Factor judge]. I mean, if they asked me, but yeah, maybe, yeah”.
He’s going to need to be a bit more committal than that if he actually wants to do it, because the rumour is that the talent show’s deal with ITV won’t be renewed when it comes to an end next year. Claims fuelled by ITV’s recent nabbing of ‘The Voice’ from the BBC.
That said, an ITV spokesperson has told the Daily Star that the broadcaster “fully intends” to keep flogging the ‘X-Factor’ horse “into 2017 and beyond”, so maybe he’s OK.
