Eddy Says: In the world of TM…

I was really proud of the last two of these. They were only random babblings but they seem to have resonated with many of you, thanks so much for all the emails, facebook messages and tweets to say how much you enjoyed them.

There’ll be more of those, I hope, but right now my head-space is competely taken up and I’ve not had time to think of *anything* but what I’m doing at the moment.

That’s partly because it’s an insane month ahead for me. First, I’m selling my flat, which comes with all its own stresses. I’ve had to find a new school for Tone, my beloved 9 year old son, and parents among you will know how stressful and time consuming this is. Plus I’m trying to find a new place to live. That, as you *all* know, brings with it a whole new level of stress, time consumption and consternation.

I’m dealing with estate agents on a daily basis, some of whom are nice, professional people who get an unfair amount of stick, and others, who are the reason for that amount of stick, which now seems fair enough. These ones make me, a traditionally peaceful and kind hearted person….feel murderous.

And in amongst all that, there’s that little thing called work. I’ve just had a weekend of radio show+gig on Friday (till almost dawn), gig saturday (till almost dawn) and, on the normal day of rest, you guessed it, another gig. That last one was at the Big Freeze, to help launch the Big Snow Festival in Andorra (you *have* to come to this, trust me).

And the next month’s schedule is looking equally manic. Not least because I’ve got the Remix Stage at Big Reunion three weeks on the trot, with Calvin Harris, Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder headlining!

All of this, and I still haven’t found somewhere to live! And I’m supposed to be moving in a month, if these contracts ever get exchanged. So, the long and short of it is that I’m really sorry, I don’t have any babblings on music or the industry for you this week, because ALL that I’m thinking about at the moment is all of the above.

As soon as something other than these tiresome mundanities has time to enter my ravaged noodle then you’ll be the first to know. Till then, I’ll let you know how it all goes. Oh and if any of you know of a 2 bed flat going in Clapham for around the 330 per week mark, please let me know…;)
