Jagwar Ma cancel festival appearances, add new shows
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 14 May 2013
Only days after sharing details of their first LP, ‘Howlin’, Jagwar Ma have unfortunately had to cancel appearances at this year’s Great Escape, London Calling, Field Day, and Forbidden Fruit festivals. One half of the band, Jono Ma, has been advised by doctors to avoid flying for a month or so, so that’s why. They’ve added new June dates at London’s XOYO (19 Jun) and Manchester’s Deaf Institute (20 Jun) by way of a consolation prize.
Jono and bandmate Gab chime in sync: “We’re really disappointed to have to miss these shows and sorry to let anyone down, we’re looking forward to playing in UK, Ireland and Europe as soon as possible, thanks for all the support for the band and the music really appreciate it! Be seeing you, Jagwar Ma”.
