James Blunt on hiatus

James Blunt is on a hiatus, in case you wondered. Having not played a gig since February, the singer has told Mail Online that he’s not currently in the studio busying a new record, but is, instead, taking it easy.
According to the Mail, Blunt said: “I just want to take some time out for myself. I haven’t got any plans to do more songwriting. I have been chilling out since I finished my world tour and I’ve spent a lot of time in Ibiza, where I have a villa”.
La-di-dah. Of course there is some ambiguity in that statement, leading many to speculate that this is actually Blunt quitting music for good. Which it might be, though that seems unlikely really.
