Japanese sex doll company builds life-size Lady Gaga replicas

Japanese “love doll” manufacturer Orient Industries has announced the addition of a life-size, realistic Lady Gaga replica to its range. Though the company stresses that these particular dolls are not intended for bedroom use.

The press release for the doll, published by E! Online, suggests using it as a conversation starter at parties or for taking “goofy photos”, but insists: “No matter how lonely you get, or how good it feels, do not have sex with her”.

The main reason for this is that the dolls are only available for hire, though the company may also have been wary of hawking it for anything other than innocent purposes after roping Gaga herself, currently in Japan to promote her ‘ARTPOP’ album, in to appearing at a press conference unveiling their new product.

Speaking at the event, reports The Japan Times, Gaga told the makers: “They look so much like me. I respect your art … and the detail you put into the dolls”.

One of the dolls’ key features is the use of bone-conduction technology to allow you to hear music and pre-recorded messages from the singer by pressing your ear to her chest. That probably sounds quite creepy, but if you watch this ‘making of’ video, you’ll see that it… yeah, it’s pretty creepy:
