That Katherine Jenkins lady has only gone and signed a deal with Universal’s Decca Records with a bold new plan to gift the world with another compact disc of musical goodness come autumn.

Actually, we already knew (months ago) that Jenkins was returning to original label Decca after a few years working with Warner, but what we didn’t have until 13:50 yesterday was quotage to confirm this fact.

Says Jenkins: “It feels not only very exciting but very special to be returning to Decca – a decade after they first signed me – and to many of the people who helped launch my career. It amazes me to think that this will be my tenth album and for this, it seems the perfect place to be going ‘home’ to”.

Meanwhile Decca dude Dickon Stainer told CMU: “We are delighted to be welcoming Katherine Jenkins back to Decca to celebrate a decade since her first signing to us. She is a uniquely talented artist”.
