Job ad: Material – Marketing (London)

Material is focused on building outstanding artists and music brands across our growing electronic music record label group. To aid in this expansion we are seeking an exceptional, results-focused and digitally minded dynamic marketing individual to power the business forward and deliver strategy and results for our artists and brands.

We require three year’s minimum marketing / record label / artist focused marketing experience in a managerial position. You must have a proven understanding and record of delivering successful marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and sales. Having a deep understanding of the digital and social landscape as well as experience of top tier impactful campaigns is key. The right candidate will be able to build our brands creatively, working with design, visual content and have an eye for stand out creative.

Central to the role is becoming a brand guardian to each of our record labels. You will work alongside the A&R team and product manager, with a day-to-day assistant to deliver campaigns from conception to execution and finally evaluation. From a day-to-day perspective this fast moving and varied artist focused role will require an individual with a variety of skills, who is able to work to evolving deadlines and targets. From social schedules to launch events and brand partnerships, excellent communication and relationship building skills are vital.

This is a strategic mid-level to senior role within the business that will suit a team player as well as an individual who can drive projects from the front. You must understand global audience development and direct to consumer strategy as well as budgets, data and numbers that underpin those wider strategic decisions.

We function mainly in the electronic / dance music space – our brands include Back to Mine, Future Disco, Stress, FRDM and Needwant. Therefore, a genuine knowledge, passion and understanding of dance music will be a real advantage. This is a central role that comes with the opportunity to shape and carve the brands, artist campaigns as well as business growth and future direction for the company.

We are based in Elephant and Castle at Ministry of Sound offices, though working virtually in the short term. Salary dependent on experience – £25 – 35k
