Neko Trust

NEKO Trust was founded to help build a sustainable future for the live events industry by supporting the next generation of talent.

The focus of the charity is helping young people develop the skills they need to have a successful career in the industry, and on providing access to the spaces they need for on the job training, rehearsals, and performances.

NEKO’s long-term aim is to build a series of grassroot music venues across the UK. The venues will serve as the training ground for the next generation of talent who, together, will ensure the live events industry continues to go from strength to strength.

The charity is now seeking to appoint three high calibre trustees to join their board and add the vital capacity and expertise needed to deliver NEKO’s charitable programmes. As a member of the board of trustees you will have the opportunity to support the next generation of talent, making a tangible difference to their future careers and the long-term success of the sector.

Trustees will need to demonstrate passionate enthusiasm for the live entertainment industry, together with a collegiate working style and a strong appreciation of the charity’s mission. The charity is especially looking for experience in the following areas:

• Fundraising, ideally in the arts sector
• Education, training and skills
• Finance and investments (previous experience in the role of treasurer desirable)

The role of Trustee is not accompanied by financial remuneration, although reasonable expenses may be claimed. The appointment will serve an initial two-year term and will be eligible for re-appointment. There are four board meetings a year, held at the charity’s offices in Wandsworth, London, but Trustees are also encouraged to join additional key meetings and events throughout the year wherever possible.

If you can bring fresh excitement and passion to the future vision of the charity, please e-mail your CV and supporting statement to, quoting reference: NTT0419.
