Raymond Gubbay Ltd, a division of Sony Music and the UK’s leading commercial promoter of popular classical music, dance and light trail events, is seeking to appoint a full time, enthusiastic Event Administrator to join its busy Events Department.

The company regularly presents over 500 events a year in London and around the UK. The role requires a dedicated and motivated individual to support and work on the many and varied activities of the events team to deliver a diverse and exciting range of concerts throughout the year.
Previous experience working in the UK theatre/concert industry is preferred.

This job description is current at the time of writing but in consultation between the post holder and the Head of Events, may be subject to variation to reflect or anticipate changes in or to the role, so as to meet Raymond Gubbay Limited’s business needs.

Core responsibilities

• To correspond regularly with concert venues regarding date availability for one-off concerts and multi-date tour planning.
• To check and process venue contracts as required in a timely fashion.
• To assist the existing Events team in the general administration of concerts including contract processing, logistical planning and general office administration.
• To maintain, develop and improve the existing administrative process involved in producing a large number of events throughout the year.
• Reporting to the Head of Events as required to ensure that they and other members of the department are kept informed on a regular basis.
• To regularly attend and manage concert performances around the UK, acting as a representative for the Company and as artist liaison/point of contact on the day.
• To work closely with the Events team in developing new projects and also ensuring proper delivery of existing product.

Skills and requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, good phone manner and excellent written/communication skills.
• The ideal candidate will be highly competent and comfortable working with Excel and specifically managing large spreadsheets and databases.
• The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, driven and reliable individual with a passion for live performance and a good understanding of both classical music and other genres.
• The ideal candidate will be proficient at time management and prioritisation and able to work to strict deadlines.
• The ideal candidate will have initiative when working both independently or as part of a small team.
• The ideal candidate will have the ability and willingness to work weekends, and during holiday seasons.
• An ability to drive (with valid UK drivers licence) is preferred.

Job Title: Event Administrator
Salary: £20k-£24k dependant on experience
Location: Based in London with some requirement for travel
Position: Full Time
