While Kerrang! Radio may have lost its FM outlet in the Midlands, one of its presenters – one time ‘Big Brother’ champ Kate Lawler – will still have an audience on the analogue radio network, albeit further north.

Kerrang! owners Bauer Media have announced that Lawler will host a new late night show that will air on its FM stations in Yorkshire and the North West, so that’s Radio Aire, Hallam FM, Viking FM, Key 103 and Rock FM.

The DJ will host the new late show in addition to the breakfast show on the now digital-only Kerrang! On the new show, she told CMU: “I’m so excited about my new show. My aim is to create a community that listeners really want to be part of each night. I can’t wait to get started across the North West and Yorkshire. We’re going to have a lot of fun!”

Meanwhile Bauer Media’s Group Programme Director for the North and Scotland, Owen Ryan, added: “It’s great to have Kate on board. With her unique mix of humour, passion and love of music, I have no doubts that she will be a huge hit with our listeners, and a real appointment to listen each weekday evening”.
