Katherine Jenkins re-signs with Universal

Opera star Katherine Jenkins has re-signed with her original label, Universal Music.
Having first allied with UMG in 2003 via a six-LP, £1 million contract, Jenkins later moved to Warner in 2008 as part of a landmark deal (for a classical artist, anyway) valued at £5.8 million.
She then departed the mini-major earlier this year, apparently (claimed the tabs) ditched by the label over disappointing sales of her 2012 compilation ‘This Is Christmas’. Though Jenkins denied this at the time, saying the split was amicable, and that she was leaving because she had reached the end of her three-LP deal.
Now back at Universal, says the Guardian, Jenkins is set to release all new material via a less extravagant pact with Decca.
