Laura Mvula to play MasterCard Priceless gig
By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 8 January 2014
Blossoming pop artiste Laura Mvula will play an ‘intimate’ (or so claims its flyer) show in London on 16 Jan, at the Kensington Roof Gardens. Mvula will do so as the first act so far confirmed for MasterCard’s BRITs-related Priceless gigs, which last year featured Emeli Sande, Ne-Yo and Rita Ora.
As is usual with Priceless dates, tickets for the shows by Mvula and the rest of MasterCard’s TBA 2014 poster kids are free, and available only by following orders (promotional RTs, hashtags and the like) via the @MasterCardUK Twitter. Info on what to do is at www.somethingforthefans.co.uk
Mvula says with considerable zeal: “After such a whirlwind past twelve months, being asked to perform at one of MasterCard’s Priceless London gigs is really exciting. I can’t wait for me and my band to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Emeli Sandé, Ne-Yo, Rita Ora and other high calibre artists which made last year’s line up so incredible”.
