Lee Ryan album reportedly shelved

Lee Ryan’s second solo album, ‘Confessions’, has reportedly been shelved by Universal label Geffen after the first single from it, ‘I Am Who I Am’, only reached number 33 in the singles chart on Sunday.
Writing on Twitter, Ryan told fans: “Really upset, 33 ain’t terrible but I thought it would of done better! The album is so good, it’s a shame it won’t be out now! [They] only released 2000 [physical] copies [of the single]! Most of the fans said they couldn’t get it, not everyone downloads! Never mind”. He added: “They just won’t release [the album] now. I’m just gonna put it on the internet and the let the fans get it for free! Fuck em. I promise I will give it away! I want you to hear it! I don’t care about the money, it’s the body of work I want you to hear! You can have it”.
As previously reported, Ryan revealed last week that Blue are already working on a new album with Ne-Yo. Probably just as well, given how well the latest solo venture is going.
