Lily Allen shares Sheezus rejects
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 10 June 2014
Yesterday, Lily Allen uploaded some old songs to SoundCloud, if only for the “LOLs” of it. Most are prototype-type early takes that didn’t make it onto Lily’s latest LP ‘Sheezus’.
There were also a number of songs written for Allen’s ‘Bridget Jones’ musical, which have since been taken down. And that’s a shame because one of them, as Popjustice confirms, was Lil’s “love song to a fridge”. Disappointing.
Still, it’s not all bad news! Because politically-minded ‘Sheezus’ extra ‘I Was Born In The 80s’ is still there. It rhymes ‘Scargill’ with ‘bar bill’ and features the line “Sick of this, sick of this, go fuck your mum / Sick of this coalition, what you done?”:
