Single Review: Lunik – Everybody Knows (FOD Records)
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 23 February 2009
Swiss popsters Lunik have enjoyed much success in their native land for a number of years now, but are presumably hoping to widen their fanbase through this, their debut international release ‘Lonely Letters’. They have worked with former Blondie member Nigel Harrison on this project, and if this lead single is anything to go by that collaboration has really delivered the goods. ‘Everybody Knows’ is a very atmospheric number, with likable frontwoman Jaël Krebs’ soft vocals really pulling you, despite this being a pretty unusual pop song. It certainly heightens your anticipation for the long player release, due out next month. TA
