McIntosh joins Capitol in LA

Former Sony Music UK executive Robbie McIntosh, who has more recently run his own marketing and management consultancy RMC International, has been appointed to the role of Executive VP International at the all new Capitol Music Group, the US-based Universal Music division that is operating most of EMI’s old American labels. He will relocate to LA for the new role.
Confirming the appointment, CMG boss Steve Barnett told reporters: “I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Robbie for many years, and his well-rounded experience, acumen and demeanour make him the ideal person to head international for the Capitol Music Group and serve as a senior executive at the company. All of us at Capitol congratulate Robbie, welcome him to Hollywood, and look forward to his leadership in bringing our artists and their music to the worldwide marketplace”.
