McVana song to appear on Sound City soundtrack

That new song by Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana, ‘Cut Me Some Slack’, given its first airing at last week’s 12-12-12 benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Sandy, will appear in its studio version on the soundtrack to Dave Grohl’s previously reported documentary about Sound City Studios in California.

The soundtrack will also feature collaborations between Grohl and a number of other artists, including Trent Reznor, Stevie Nicks, Josh Homme, members of Rage Against The Machine and Foo Fighters and more.

The soundtrack album will be released on 11 Mar, while ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ is available now. You can also stream it here.
