Meat Loaf to encourage kids to read
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 29 January 2009
Meat Loaf is reportedly to appear alongside a drumming puppy in a new cartoon series set to appear on children’s ITV, or CiTV, as it’s more popularly known.
He’s just one of a number of celebrity guests to appear on the show, which is aimed at encouraging children to read. Each of the guests will read a story to the puppy, Bookaboo, who needs “a story a day or he just can’t play”.
Meatloaf, who will appear in the first episode on 2 Mar and read ‘The Lamb Who Came For Dinner’, says this: “You need to have fun with reading and, if it’s scary, make them shiver under the covers. If it’s friendly and happy, make them feel fuzzy and warm”.
Other music c’lebs set to do the children’s show are Mel C and Alesha Dixon. Both of whom I like.
